Criminal Record Checks

A Criminal Record Check is available in two levels to meet different screening requirements:

Basic (Level 1 Search):
The Basic Criminal Record Check is a screening that verifies the presence of adult indictable convictions in the RCMP’s National Repository of     Criminal Records through the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) system. Conducted by an accredited Canadian police agency, it ensures     secure, compliant results without requiring in-person visits.

Once identity is verified, a Basic CPIC query is performed. The report includes only legally disclosable adult convictions and excludes pardoned records, youth offences, and non-conviction data.

Enhanced (Level 2 / CRJMC – Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check):
The Enhanced Criminal Record Check offers a deeper level of screening, extending beyond basic convictions to include additional police and court     information. Following secure identity verification, an authorized police service conducts an Enhanced CPIC query. This may include disclosable adult convictions (summary & indictable),outstanding charges, court orders, and relevant non-conviction information, as legally permitted. The process excludes any non-disclosable content, such as youth records, pardoned convictions, or mental health information, ensuring privacy and compliance.

Vulnerable Sector Screening (Level 3)
Note: This service may require in-person attendance (only available in select jurisdictions)
The Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) is designed for individuals in or seeking a position of trust or authority over vulnerable populations (e.g., children, seniors, or persons with disabilities). It includes all elements of the Enhanced Criminal Record Check, plus a search for records of sexual offences for which a pardon/record suspension has been granted, as authorized under the Criminal Records Act. This check involves:

Credit Summary Report

A Credit Summary Report confidently assesses candidates to ensure their reliability and trustworthiness.

A Credit Summary Report provides information based on an individual’s credit history. This will provides insights into candidate financial responsibilities, but also valuable information with regards to their, physical relocations, and identity, such as aliases.

Provincial Driver's License Verification

This search is by province and typically for clients that do not require abstract details (ride sharing or cab service) and only require verification that the candidate’s drivers license is currently valid, class of license, date of birth, gender and verification of the candidate’s name.  This is best practice for rental car companies, employers with corporate vehicles, delivery drivers, and insurance companies for compliance requirements or annual screens as required to mitigate risk and corporate liability.
